![]() The outdoor Buddha garden was blasting loud rave music in the middle of the day making it the last place I would want to practice meditation. The meditation area itself was nothing like anyone’s idea of a peaceful meditation retreat. The rooms were very sub-par given the relatively high cost (no WiFi, terrible bed, shower that flooded the whole bathroom). The whole place was austere, high-security, and felt like a prison. We were greeted with poor customer service from every Osho employee we met. Osho was NEITHER a peaceful meditation ashram nor a nice accommodation. Although I had been looking for a more authentic experience (e.g., not the commercialized version of meditation characteristic of Osho), I figured this resort experience would be the best of both worlds: having a peaceful day of meditation classes plus “resort-style” accommodation and customer service. They ended up not being open, so we booked a room at Osho instead. Looking for a quiet few days of meditation, we had planned a trip to Pune (to stay at a different ashram a friend recommended). Also better watch Ramdev channel on tv and visit good resort. there are still many spiritual gurus who have not made it to business. I am sure they are not paying any kind of tax as well. Amazed why this is still not raided by tax department ? Well some day it will and tourist inside will face lots of problens then. ![]() You will be amazed to know that Osho has good collection of expensive cars like Rolls Royce and luxurious watches.Ībove all limits ONLY CASH is accepted inside NO CREDIT DEBIT CARD OR NO KIND OF DIGITAL WALLET. You have to shell out at least Rs 4000 on your first 1 day visit including 2 clothes which they call robe and carry price tag of around 2000. ![]() this we heard is something new as there are hardly any takers for hard copy of Osho’s books. On your first day they will force sell you books and cds worth Rs 700 as pre-requisite and tell you to come next day. they don't prefer intelligent people, middle class indians and young people. They prefer foreigners, rich indians, older people who can give them money easily. Everything inside carries price tag of 5 star hotel. its a complete business centre and they will sell you costly books, clothes, locker and food. I have recently visited the so called Ashram here is my observations-ĭidn’t understood why they call it ashram. ![]()
